Protocol SMTP

SMTP is a standard protocol which allows for the sending and receiving of electronic mails. This protocol is easy to use, and it is supported by most major email clients. The protocol's basic features include line-by-line transmission and an end-of-data sequence, which consists of a new-line and full stop. Only one line can be contained in a message body. This means that the client will send two periods to the server. The server then replaces the second period with one. This is known as "dot stuffing".

Message ID

SMTP uses a identifier message to identify the original message. The identifier must also be machine-readable. It must adhere to the msg–id specification format. The identifier is usually a phrase or word that summarizes the message and tells the receiver what it is about. A message identifier can also contain a text comment.

Message body

The Protocol SMTP Message Body is composed of many parts. The SMTP header line is a readable string of text that contains a keyword, followed by a colon, and a value. Some header keywords are mandatory while others are optional. The SMTP header line must also contain a To and From line, and may contain a Subject line. The SMTP header line differs from SMTP commands in that it is part of the actual mail message.

Command RCPT

The RCPT command identifies a mail relay server. Before transferring the message to the server, this relay host will ask permission. A 354 response code usually indicates that permission has been granted by the server. Once this permission has been granted, the sender starts transferring the mail data line by line. The contents of a message are added to the recipient's mailbox by the recipient SMTP servers.

DATA command

The DATA command signalling the start of a message in protocol Smtp is the DATA command. The message is composed of a header and a body. If the message is successful, the server will send a 250 response code.

QUIT command

To terminate a session using the SMTP protocol, you can send a QUIT command. SMTP servers are able to detect the QUIT commands and send a 221 "goodbye” message to the receiver device. This message ends the TCP session between the sending device & the receiving device.

RCPT

The RCPT protocol for SMS is a standard protocol that allows you to send SMS messages over the Internet. To encode an SMS message's content, this protocol uses RFC822. It also requires a minimum of 256 bytes. A SMS message can only contain 160 characters (7-bit) and 70 Unicode characters (70 Unicode characters). You can send longer messages, however. Split the message into smaller pieces. The text message must then be encrypted.

DATA

The DATA command activates the transmission of your mail message body. The message is then sent line by line to its destination and terminated with an end-of-data sequence of a new-line and a full stop. The message body can also contain a single line that is composed only of a period. This is known as dot-stuffing, which happens when the client sends two periods and the server replies with a single period.

FAQ

What is a "static website"?

A static website can be hosted anywhere, including GitHub Pages, Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Windows Azure Blob storage, Rackspace Cloud Files, Dreamhost, Media Temple, and others. A static website can be also deployed to any platform supporting PHP, including WordPress, Drupal and Joomla!, Magento, PrestaShop and others.

Static web pages are generally easier to maintain since they don't constantly send requests back-and-forth between servers. Also, they load faster because there's no need to send any requests back and forth between servers. Smaller companies with limited resources and the time required to manage websites properly will find static web pages more beneficial.

What is responsive web design?

Responsive Web Design (RWD), is an approach to designing responsive websites. Content will display correctly on all devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, tablets, and desktop computers. This allows users the ability to view a website simultaneously on different devices and still have access to other features like navigation menus, buttons, and so forth. RWD aims to ensure that every user who views a site is able to view it on any screen size.

If you are building a website to sell products primarily via eCommerce, then you want to make sure that customers can purchase items from your store even if they view it on their smartphones.

A responsive website will adjust its layout automatically based on what device is used to view it. It will appear the same as a regular desktop website if you view it on your laptop. It will look different if you view the page from your phone.

This means that you can create a single website that looks great on every type of device.
